Canola 2 Beta 1 is finally out!
By Ulisses Furquim
Hey, finally Canola 2 Beta 1 is out! It’s been a tough time hacking from infrastructure part up to application itself to make everything work. I hope you all have good times using it and please report to us any bugs so we can make it even better. Let the new era of Canola 2 begin! ;-)

Hi AdmFubar,
we’re also very sorry we couldn’t release it for 770. However, we haven’t given up yet. Beginning of next year we might have something for 770 users if our workarounds work as expected. Thus, stay tuned. :-)

How are we supposed to install it if we cannot even download it?
Is there a deb we can download from an alternative location?

Have been trying unsuccessfully for over a day. It seems that every OS upgrade will mean a several day process to download the OS, and reinstall all of the packages because all of this is treated as a hobby and on underpowered servers and/or bandwidth. Unsure what Nokia’s strategy is here. If Nokia was serious, they would properly host their OS download and the open source applications. Kudos to the developers for a wonderful OS, and kudos to the application developers for some really wonderful applications. Next upgrade I wont even bother for a few of weeks. Thanks for the buzzkill, Nokia.
